During the bootcamp, Bristol-based artists Georg-i and Lilian Lyzander later joined the group, adding a strong local perspective and exchange. Together, the artists took part in a series of engaging workshops that explored different aspects of artistic practice, music, and community-building.
The programme included a Radio Noods takeover, where the artists introduced themselves and shared their work on the radio. They also explored how a strong community around dance and electronic music is built. In an interactive workshop with Bex, participants explored their full potential and learned how to navigate the professional music scene. They also enjoyed a tour of Strange Brew, gaining insight into local creative spaces. Additional sessions included a workshop by Mu Sing, focusing on his artistic practice, and a workshop by Tectonic, covering topics from producing and selling music to the history of Bristol’s music scene.
The programme was made possible by Michelle Hindriks from CIEL. Michelle, originally from Friesland and now living in Brighton, shares her network and knowledge of the UK music scene as a producer, songwriter, and touring artist.
