Moonloops and Lemony Rug went to Ameland

A few days on Ameland turned into a new song and a new friendship for Moonloops and Lemony Rug. During their residency, they met for the first time and quickly started talking about music, inspiration and what they wanted to create together. While exploring the island and spending time at the beach, the first ideas for a song began to take shape. Within a day, they had written and finished the song.

The musical connection between Moonloops and Lemony Rug was there from the very beginning: “I have rarely felt so seen and comfortable with someone who a few days ago was a complete stranger. I’m so happy we made something that is a little outside my comfort zone, but still feels like me.”

The following days were spent developing the song further, working on harmonies, guitar arrangements and a demo before preparing for the live session. They eventually recorded the song in the dunes and the forest, bringing the collaboration to life beyond the writing process.

They ended the week at MadNes Festival, where Leon performed with his band.
