During the camp, he took part in writing sessions, jam sessions, and masterclasses led by experts from the Flemish music industry. At the end of the camp, the work created throughout the week was presented.
"On Thursday, I arrived four hours earlier than the other artists, because I was helping out with the organization. Even though I hadn’t slept much and was feeling a bit out of it, I helped set up the studios, and that’s where I got to make good friends with the organizing team. When the artists arrived, I got to know them and noticed that — at least to me — Belgian people tend to be less direct in how they get to know you. But that could also just be because they already knew each other and I was the new one. It was a really fun and warm atmosphere with them, and we had some amazing jam sessions. All the artists were incredibly talented. I wrote a few beautiful songs and also heard a lot of great music. I had expected that we’d be writing songs at full speed, but there were also some valuable masterclasses. Because of that, I learned more about the Flemish music industry and culture — for example, that it’s much more radio-oriented than I’m used to. I definitely want to go back. I love the language, the music, and the beautiful landscape. I truly believe I could create some really special things with some of the people I met there, and I’m super grateful for that. Because I accidentally blocked my SIM card after the first day, I was completely off the grid. On the train ride home, I just wrote a few more songs — and all in all, it was a really positive experience."
